Hello, I hope you're doing well. My name is Mr. Steve Oscar, and I absolutely love engaging with people and traveling to different places. I wanted to reach out to you and say Hi.
Feel free to Roam around and Discover some Nice ways to Practise.
Speaking of which, I'd like to share some of my exam experiences and scores:
- IELTS, 1st attempt... Score: 7.5
- GRE, 1st attempt... Score: 295 Quant 148, Verbal 147(AWA: 4)
For the IELTS, I didn't necessarily need to study at a coaching center(.Exe.Care) because I took my studies in English Medium from early childhood, but I did so to meet new friends, and it turned out to be a great choice. Their advices and encouragement pushed me to work harder and I still have good contact with them though we are in different Countries. To prepare GRE, I and two other university friends chipped in to purchase and share a Magoosh Account, which proved to be immensely helpful.
The key to achieving these scores was patience and consistent practice. I focused on improving a little in a specific topic each day and learned to apply what I studied during mock tests. It may take time and involve some trial and error, but ultimately, you'll make progress and reach your goals.
If you're Curious, you can find my latest IELTS certificate from March 2020 here:
In my second IELTS attempt on April 29th, 2023, I managed to improve my Reading score to 8.5, but my Listening score went down. So, for those planning to take IELTS more than once, my advice is to practice equally in all modules to maintain consistency.
On a different note, I also have some debating experience. One of my memorable experiences was participating in the Model United Nations (MUN) conference as part of the IIUM Delegation at Malaya University. It was an enriching experience that I cherish.
